City of Zugdidi / Martvili Canyone / Okatse Canyone Tour

Zugdidi is located in Samegrelo region of  Western Georgia 327km from Tbilisi. Tourists mostly pass it when traveling to Mestia or Abkhazia. Main Architectural sight of this city is the Dadiani Palace museum, built in 19th century. There are also an old Botanical Garden (Queen’s garden/alley) near the Palace. Napoleon’s death mask is on display in the Dadiani Palace Museum in Zugdidi, but the main treasure of this museum is a Shroud of Mary, the mother of Jesus. Museum is open every day, except Monday 10:00AM-5:00 pm. Entrance fee – 2 GEL.

Martvili Canyon and Okatse Canyon –  See Georgia’s most spectacular Canyons on a day tour. A tour begins with pick up from your Hotel. Travelers are offered of a boat trip through a Canyon and a pass to the route to amazing waterfalls. Colors in canyon are amazing as a light intensity changes regularly while passing a gorge. After one and half hour  sightseeing group heads to Martvili Monastery. It sits upon the highest hill in the vicinity and offers spectacular views. Next stop Okatse Canyons. It is a natural monument with recently built high quality tourist infrastructure – stairs, footpaths offering magnificent views to the canyon and its surroundings. Kinchkha Waterfall, 30 minutes drive from Okatse, is one of the tallest in the country. You will reach it by a footpath suspended along the edge of the canyon offering amazing views to the canyon and its surroundings.  You will get unforgettable memories after visiting this place.
